Suggested Directions for cutwork
Cut fabric according to the size of project you would like, plus enough to be able to use your hoop along the edges
Out line on linen or your choice of fabric with a disappearing ink marker, the approximate placement for the designs.
Place a piece of tear-away / washaway, or soluble stabilizer on the underside of the fabric.
Line up the embroidery hoop with the your marks. Pull fabric tight as a drum and secure hoop.
I used software to place designs together so I would not have to re-hoop so many times
When finished, remove fabric and hoop out of the machine and spray the embroidered design with seam sealant.
Cut away the fabric in between the stitched designs. Some cut the stabilizer some do not.
Some spray each edge with seam sealant and trim the excess fabric .. I did not. I left a bit of soluble stabilizer in to keep stiff..for cutting, once all was done I then used no fray (frey Check) to prevent fraying in future washings
I expect there is MANY ways of doing this.. email me if you have more suggestions and I can add them
